Liberation.

He’s a Thief.

I’ve known for years but…turns out it’s worse than I thought.

And now Hub knows too.

That part was actually the worst, watching him come to that realization. Worse than the struggle with finances, worse than watching his business die, worse even than seeing him start to believe that he was a failure.

He knows he’s not a failure now. But he has been betrayed.

Said Thief is hosting an event for one of his businesses. We were obligated to attend.

For the first time we asked ourselves…“Why?”

We don’t want to go. There’s no reason to go at all if you don’t count the pressure and judgmental eye of the Thief.

So now we don’t.

Just got the day off, kids. Feels pretty damn good.
